About Us.
THE VISIONARIES
For fourteen years we have worked with children of Bolivia.
Specifically we take orphans, abandoned and high risk children.
We also have strived to keep family units intact and we believe we were the firstĀ in this respect
The we is an Australian family who are working here and who have in collaboration with the Bolivian government taken orphaned or abandoned children into our home.

Starting in 2002 we commenced the process of registration. Before this (1999)with the collaboration of the government we already had had many children and saw the need to be formally registered. We are recognized as an operating non-government organization (personeria juridica 341/03 (ONG 41/04 ) This means we liaise with the government bodies to take children. We can intervene in crisis situations and we also in collaboration with them arrange adoptions, take guardianship of abandoned children and take babies left in hospitals or as in one case thrown out as garbage.
One of the requirements , by law, is that we must have continuous care provided by both a social worker and psychologist. We also have
other personnel involved in all aspects of child care.
Children are removed from families for various reasons and they are usually put into one of the eighty plus orphanages here in Bolivia. Families are split. Sisters are separated because of age differences.. Brothers are placed in boys' homes and their sisters elsewhere. We have tried to remedy this situation. We can say, with a belief that we are unique , that we do have family groups together. Hence the motto. Giving children a chance. A life time reassurance. Till they are old enough to leave or some loving couple meet them and want them to call them mum or dad. We currently have over
thirty children orphaned or abandoned living with us. That in a nutshell is us.
